Designating India as CPC to Combat Religious Persecution

The United States Government must accept the recommendation of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), made in its Annual Report 2020 released in April, that India is designated as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC), and Indian agencies and officials responsible for religious freedom violations be sanctioned, in order to combat the persecution of India’s religious minorities by Hindu extremist elements, who are given patronage and impunity by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
