Organizational Perspectives Regarding Religious Persecution in Vietnam
November 19 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EST
For nearly 45 years, Vietnam has been under the totalitarian rule of the Vietnamese Communist Party and deprived all of basic human rights. In the routine human rights dialogues between Vietnam and the European and American counterparts, the delegation of the Vietnamese government paints a good picture of religious freedom in Vietnam, with solemn commitments. The independent religions of Vietnam often experience a different reality. This conference presents a first-hand account by Vietnamese organized religions which are not under the control of the government’s Mother Land Front.
